Dimension Data gears up for Cisco Global Partner status

Dimension Data, Cisco`s largest resale partner outside of the United States, has geared up to obtain Global Support Partner status from Cisco.

This follows the Group achieving Cisco Gold Partner Certification on five continents and a successful global roll-out of its innovative network services and Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA).

Coupled with its Gold Partner Status in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, the Group is now eligible for Cisco Global Support Partner status," says Paris Arey, Managing Director, EMEA Channels, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Bruce Watson, Dimension Data Chief Executive Network Services says Global Support Partner status is a logical step for the Group, as multinationals need global support for their online, e-commerce businesses.

"As companies move to become e-businesses, they require sophisticated enterprise management support and services across the globe. As a network and i-commerce integration and services company, it`s critical to be able to offer this on every continent - businesses cannot be limited by their IT partner`s geographic boundaries," says Watson.

"Having recently entered the United States market, we went for, and received, Gold Partner Certification in the US to ensure we could offer our customers support that is both global and round the clock."

Watson adds that by obtaining Cisco Global Partner status, the Group can assure its customers that it has achieved the highest Cisco standard for network expertise and support capabilities.

Dimension Data has won numerous customer satisfaction awards around the world, these awards are independently audited by Cisco to measure the performance of its partners.
