The skills level within Dimension Data`s networking operations globally was highlighted last month when the Group won 5 awards from world-leading networking player Cisco for its South African, Australian and Asian subsidiaries.
At the annual Cisco Partners Summit held in Las Vegas, Dimension Data Networking`s focus on skills and services was rewarded when it received top award for highest customer satisfaction level throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) North region.
The company received a customer satisfaction rating of 4.5 - where the average for Cisco is 4.1. The majority of Cisco partners received 3.75.
Dimension Data`s Asian subsidiary, Datacraft was presented with three awards: best reseller in Hong Kong; best integrator in South Asia; and the overall Cisco best partner in Asia, while leading Australian networking integrator Com Tech - of which Dimension Data is the majority shareholder - was awarded the best distributor in Australia through its Expressdata division.
Rob Lopez, product director at DiData Networking says: "These awards reinforce the excellent relationships we have with our clients and the high quality of engineering skills and dedication within the networking operations."
DiData Networking has the highest number of Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineers (CCIEs) in the southern hemisphere, as well as a greater number of technical engineers, over 200, than any network solution provider in South Africa. Further, over 50% are qualified in at least 4 technology areas and have been with the company for over 4 years. Overall, the Dimension Data group has 81 CCIEs, many of who are both Channel Interface Processor (CIP) and Stratacom certified.
Combining this skills base with that of its sister companies Com Tech in Australia and Datacraft in Asia, enables DiData`s networking operations globally to support network managers in building and maintaining networks that can efficiently support the services demanded by the IT-intensive enterprise environments of today.
