Dimension Data`s South African i-Commerce operation designed and implemented a comprehensive e-business customer management solution for German high-tech software company, InVision Software AG.
The project, testimony to the group`s global nature and depth of skills, has already led to increased revenue, better employee productivity and improved levels of customer satisfaction for InVision Software AG.
Dimension Data South Africa supplied InVision Software, a leading supplier of workforce management solutions, with award-winning e-business application software, Siebel.
"We are also experiencing more transparency, improved workflow structures, sales force automation benefits and increased control over our international subsidiaries," says Armand Zohari, chief operations officer of InVision Software. .
Headquartered in Ratingen, near Dusseldorf, InVision Software has branches in France, Scandinavia, Italy and SA. InVision also has numerous partnerships in countries like Canada, the US, GB, Turkey and Croatia. It chose Dimension Data i-Commerce SA for the implementation because of its depth of experience and professional approach following a sales cycle that was conducted, for the most part, long distance.
"We made extensive use of the Web for live demonstrations of the solution, and to answer queries," says Jan Potgieter, district manager of Dimension Data i-Commerce in SA. "This is one our first remote customer management implementations, and is an excellent example of what a truly global company can achieve. The project was undertaken using the best skills available worldwide."
The detailed design work was completed in SA and the final system implemented in Germany by the South African team.
"After investigation, Siebel was one of two systems on our shortlist," says Zohari. "We opted for Siebel essentially due to the professional pre-sales and implementation support from Dimension Data. "
InVision Software implemented the e-business customer management solution in its Sales, Professional Services (Project Management and Consulting), HelpDesk and Product Development divisions, as well as throughout its international subsidiaries.
"InVision Software is undergoing tremendous growth and has already increased the number of Siebel seats significantly since the original purchase. We believe the solution will continue to expand as the company grows," says Potgieter.
"We are a very satisfied Dimension Data customer," concludes Zohari.
Dimension Data was Siebel Systems` leading channel partner in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) last year. According to US-based research group Alex Brown, Siebel Systems is closing more mid-market business than all of the mid-market players combined.
