Dimension Data is top channel partner for Siebel Systems

Johannesburg, 05 Jan 2001

Dimension has become Siebel Systems` leading channel partner in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for 2000, with both parties planning to develop this winning partnership globally.

Siebel Systems, leading global supplier of eBusiness Applications software, selected Dimension Data for the `Siebel Partner Award of Excellence` based on a combination of revenue generation and customer satisfaction. Dimension Data represents and supports Siebel Systems within South Africa.

According to US-based research group Alex Brown, Siebel Systems is closing more mid-market business than all of the mid-market players combined.

"Dimension Data demonstrated close alignment with Siebel Systems` strategic goals, and a commitment to growing our joint market, particularly in terms of eBusiness," says Tim Wort, vice-president for Siebel Systems EMEA, recently in South Africa to develop the Dimension Data partnership.

"We are confident our relationship with Dimension Data can be strengthened to include other countries within EMEA and further afield," he says.

Siebel eBusiness Applications have been proven globally and locally, with numerous companies experiencing improved levels of customer satisfaction, increased revenue, and better employee productivity, as a result of implementing Siebel eBusiness Applications.

"Together with Dimension Data, we plan to build on our strong position, particularly in the eBusiness and mid-market spaces, where there is vast potential," says Wort. "Dimension Data has assisted Siebel Systems to develop a strong market within South Africa, but we are not even close to market fulfilment here."

Dimension Data i-Commerce is ideally positioned to capitalise on the market gap as its service offering and solutions are tailored to meet the industry`s needs. The i-Commerce division helps organisations maximise the mutual value of e-commerce and enterprise relationship management.

"Over the last couple of years, Dimension Data has focused on creating and developing a strong Siebel Systems certification skills base," says Wort. "This puts Dimension Data in a good position to provide training and technology support, together with sales consultancy, in the growing e-business and mid-market spaces."

Siebel Systems provides the industry`s most comprehensive family of multichannel eBusiness applications and services. Siebel eBusiness Applications enable organisations to create a single source of customer information that makes it easier to sell to, market to, and service customers across multiple channels, including the Web, call centres, field, reseller channels, and dealer networks. By using Siebel eBusiness Applications, organisations can create a single source of information for tailoring product and service offerings to meet the unique needs of each customer. The result is an enhanced ability to satisfy customers virtually anytime, anywhere, through any sales or service channel.

Siebel eBusiness 2000, Midmarket Edition enables small and medium-size companies to compete more effectively in today`s marketplace. Designed for fast deployment, Siebel eBusiness 2000, Midmarket Edition helps organisations increase their productivity, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximise revenue and profit by capitalising on every moment of value in each customer interaction.
