Just four months after listing on the London Stock Exchange, global network services and i-Commerce solutions provider Dimension Data Holdings plc is extending the global Dimension Data brand to its UK operations.
This follows the Group`s acquisition of the remaining 50,01% shares in Chernikeeff Networks in August, giving Dimension Data 100% control of the UK`s largest privately owned network integration services company. The rebranding move is in line with the Group`s global initiative to consolidate its identity throughout the world.
According to Dawid de Villiers, MD of Dimension Data Network Services UK, the acquisition marked an important step in Dimension Data`s quest to offer global network services and i-Commerce solutions consistently around the world.
"We have completed the upgrading of Chernikeeff`s network management facility to a fully fledged operations centre incorporating Dimension Data`s unique Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA). The GSOA enables the Group to provide a broad and consistent range of online global network support services.
"Rebranding Chernikeeff as Dimension Data will boost the Group`s profile in the UK.
It will also reinforce Dimension Data`s competitive advantage as a leading international information technology group," he adds.
Chernikeeff founder and CEO Peter Harrison, who has joined the Dimension Data plc board, says the transition of the Chernikeeff name to Dimension Data will give the company`s current and future customers a better understanding of the Group`s capability.
"Our position in the Dimension Data Group goes beyond a name change. As an integral part of the company, our customers are assured of the benefits of having access to world-class services and delivery. With access to the enlarged range of GSOA services, Dimension Data UK`s capacity to meet our customer`s business needs and expectations is significantly enhanced," Harrison concludes.
