European software vendor, Diskeeper, has signed a agreement with Eastern Cape based Bliss IT Solutions.

Bliss IT Solutions will be importing and Diskeeper Corporation's same-named software.

According to Diskeeper, the software is a system performance enhancement tool that keeps discs and servers defragmented, and helps them perform at their peak.

The company says regular defragmentation considerably improves systems' speed and prevents crashes, slow-downs, freeze-ups as well as total system failures.

Other functionalities of Diskeeper 2007 include real-time defragmentation, automatically and transparently handling fragmentation as it occurs, and I-FAAST 2.0, that aims to increase file access by up to 80%.

Diskeeper says the Terabyte Volume Engine 2.0 gives powerful defragmentation for high-capacity and high-traffic servers, with disc volumes containing hundreds of thousands to millions of files, and allows unobtrusive, thorough free space-consolidation on busy servers.
