At its recent annual Golf Day, the DNS Group, a specialist networking company and a member of the Dimension Data Group, together with its customers and suppliers, raised R 70 000 for charity. A cheque was presented to Jane Bruss, the project co-ordinator of the Childrens Haematology Oncology Clinics (CHOC) by the managing director of the DNS Group, Allan Cawood. According to Bruss, this is the largest single donation yet received by CHOC. CHOC was formed in 1979 to assist children with cancer and life threatening blood disorders to recover from the devastating effects of these diseases. "DNS is pleased to be able to support CHOC`s efforts to further the childrens` cancer programme at the Johannesburg Hospital," said Cawood. "It is encouraging to realise that a greater percentage of children with cancer are cured today, in many instances due to the medical treatments that are facilitated by CHOC."
