DNS Infotel has won the "Enterprise Systems Partner of the Year" award from Nortel Networks.
The award is presented annually to the best performing Nortel partner in South Africa.
Key criteria, according to Nortel Networks (Sub-Saharan Africa) general manager, Doug Batchelor, are revenue generation, commitment to the Nortel product set, and investment in staff training.
"DNS is significantly ahead in all three areas," said Batchelor at the award presentation ceremony.
"DNS is a leader in the networking industry in South Africa and, we are pleased to say, is a strong supporter of Nortel."
Receiving the award, Gary Divine, DNS` Nortel product manager, said Nortel is promoting the concept of unified, end-to-end-networks, a position shared by DNS in its vision of networking in the new millennium.
DNS Infotel is a member of the DNS Group - a DiData subsidiary.
Nortel Networks is one of the fastest growing networking equipment vendors in the local market. The company is entrenched in South Africa under the Bay Networks banner.
