DNS staff acts in a play for street children

Johannesburg, 08 May 1998

Geoff Norman, regional managing director of the DNS Group (Western Cape), has been presented with a certificate by the Bellville chapter of the Association of Round Tables of Southern Africa. The certificate is in recognition of a R 15 000 donation received following the second annual "DNS and Friends" charity show held at the Parow Civic Centre recently. The event formed part of the DNS Group`s social responsibility drive and proceeds were earmarked for The Homestead - an organisation that deals with the rehabilitation of street children. This year`s theme was "Scatterlings of Africa" based on the plight of the street children in the greater Cape Town area. In accepting the certificate, Norman said that he hoped that the donation would spur other IT companies to help in the upliftment of those less fortunate. The show, which spotlighted the acting talents of DNS staff members, proved to be a huge success. The audience consisted of DNS clients, suppliers, families and friends.
