Document solutions software revenues to soar
software revenues will grow from $3.4 billion in 2010 to $5.5 billion in 2015, according to a new study by International Data Corporation (IDC), CBR writes.
IDC programme director, digital imaging solutions and services, Ron Glaz stated that software designed to incorporate documents into a more streamlined business workflow represents tremendous opportunity over the four years.
Glaz said: "This market will experience unprecedented growth as users demand more effective device management, paper-to-digital document management, and output management."
CMS Wire states the findings are contained in the newly published “Worldwide and US Document Solutions 2011-2015 Forecast”, which identifies a number of trends for which there has been considerable anecdotal, but no concrete research.
The growing adoption of mobile devices within businesses offers new output opportunities, while creating a need for new content management solutions to secure business-critical information. Worldwide, mobile printing solution software will grow from $68.3 million in 2010 to $1.0 billion in 2015, a compound annual growth rate of 71.2%.
