Dollar uses Sitecore
Sitecore recently announced that Dollar Rent A Car has implemented Sitecore's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system, states ECM Connection.
Since utilising Sitecore, Dollar has increased its online conversion rates, while reducing its Web site development time over 30%.
Sitecore's ECM will allow Dollar to provide a personalised, one-to-one marketing to site visitors, which will help turn more of them into customers.
Oracle expands ECM tool
Oracle continues to expand its ECM offering with the launch of Oracle Universal Online Archive and Oracle E-mail Archive Service, components of Oracle Fusion Middleware, says Earth Times.
Oracle E-mail Archive Service, in conjunction with Oracle Online Archive, provides an optimised e-mail archiving interface for Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes, and SMTP-based mail systems.
"Oracle Universal Online Archive takes that deep understanding and brings it to bear on actively archiving multiple types of unstructured content and particularly e-mail," says Frank Radichel, VP, Software Development, Oracle.
IBM bolsters broadcasting
ABS-CBN, a broadcasting company in the Philippines, is collaborating with IBM as it embarks on a platform that will digitise all of its content, reports CNN Money.
The Media Asset Management System will enable business transformation as it empowers ABS-CBN to create new and innovative services such as additional channels, Web portals and mobile downloads.
It will also aid in reducing substantial costs in archiving and storage and attaining a more efficient post-production process.
