Local distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has been appointed by Cornerstone Peripherals Technology as a second distributor for its range of monitors. DCC has launched a new division to support its resellers in expanding its 19- and 21-inch monitor market.
"With the emerging trend of large screens replacing traditional 14- and 15-inch monitors, we aim to focus on this arena giving users the full advantage and added value the Cornerstone monitors offer," says Bruce Byrne, who joined DCC from Siltek to head the division.
According to Byrne, an intensive channel programme was put in place in December. He says the company has three partners in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg, and is looking to increase this number to five in each region.
Conerstone`s BigMonitors Software Suite provides image enhancement and desktop management tools to improve users` productivity.
Cornerstone monitors are also distributed by Siltek Distribution Dynamics.
