DRS, AccessData to showcase computer forensics, Triage, cyber incident response technologies at IDC Security Roadshow 2011, Nigeria

Johannesburg, 27 Jun 2011

DRS, along with AccessData, will be participating in the IDC Security Roadshow 2011, at the Eko Hotel, in Lagos, Nigeria. The theme of this conference is: 'A Proactive Approach to Information Risk Management'.

During the conference, DRS and AccessData will showcase several cyber security and digital investigations technologies, including its computer forensics lab solution, the Mobile Phone Examiner Plus product, a new forensic Triage product, and its network forensics solution, SilentRunner Sentinel.

In addition, they will be updating conference attendees on their new integrated security framework, CIRT (Cyber Intelligence and Response Technology). DRS will have existing end-users of these technologies, as well as Scotland Yard-experienced experts on hand to help organisations identify how the solutions can be used in-house to combat fraud and corruption.

The new CIRT security framework integrates network forensics, host forensics and data auditing into a single interface, and is the first solution of its kind.

Designed for security and response teams, as well as information assurance teams, CIRT allows personnel to analyse what is happening across the enterprise from multiple vantage points. Facilitating continuous monitoring and situational awareness, CIRT enables cyber security personnel to proactively and reactively detect, analyse and remediate security threats in the most efficient manner by correlating network and host data within a single interface.

Furthermore, it enables large-scale auditing and the correlation of network and host data to help information assurance teams quickly chase down and remediate classified spillage. “The CIRT security framework allows organisations to more effectively address a variety of security and information governance challenges, such as the handling of advanced persistent threats, PCI compliance, continuous monitoring and large-scale internal investigations,” commented Jason Mical, Director of Network Forensics at AccessData.

In addition to showcasing solutions at the event, DRS and AccessData will be leading several sessions on the conference agenda, which is soon to be announced.
