Duxbury Formula One competition leads the rest

Johannesburg, 22 Sept 2004

One of the most successful -based motorsport competitions in 2004 is the Duxbury Formula One forecast.

Devised and presented by Graham Duxbury, SABC TV`s Grand Prix presenter, together with his company - Duxbury Networking - the competition is attracting around many thousands of entries each week from Formula One fans.

"This is significantly more than many other online competitions, according to our research," says Duxbury.

"Whether it`s the prizes up for grabs or the challenge of predicting race winners - which is getting harder since Michael clinched the championship - is not sure.

"What is certain is that our competition is pulling in the pundits, the knowledgeable and those that simply have a guess at the outcome.

"Its popularity has attracted a host of sponsors - including HP and Budweiser, the sponsors of the BMW Williams team - all of whom have put up some great prizes for winners and runners up.

"We`ve even introduced a lucky draw prize to give everyone a winning chance," he adds.

Duxbury is hoping to keep the competition`s wheels turning into next year, which he says will be a "vintage" year with new challenges to the Ferraris` supremacy coming from Juan Pablo Montoya in the McLaren and the sensational Australian, Mark Webber, who will move to the Williams team.
