Duxbury Networking is to host a "technology road show" in Bloemfontein and Durban to spotlight new technologies in key areas of networking - security, mobility and convergence.
"These are the key drivers of new networks," says Louis Helmbold, Duxbury`s business development manager. "It is therefore critical for decision-makers in major organisations to understand the implications of these technologies, if they are preparing to replace or even upgrade their infrastructures."
Helmbold says the average lifespan of corporate networks has increased during the past few years from three to five years. It is therefore important to do good long-term strategic planning if budgets are to be optimised.
"Companies need to be aware of what is available today and the future direction in which technology is headed," he stresses.
"For example, more intelligent networking equipment is able to increase a network`s performance and create a secure, mobile multi-service environment in which a wide range of new product offerings can be safely integrated in future."
The Duxbury Techno Road Show will spotlight these trends and give visitors an insight into the latest products from leaders in this field, including Netgear and HP.
