Alien Technologies, local distributors of video technologies and streaming video peripherals, have announced the launch of Hollywood DV-Bridge, the latest video editing product from FAST-Dazzle. This product enables the quick and easy transfer of analogue and digital video material between PC and video camera - right on the desktop.
Hollywood DV-Bridge is an external converter and is a universal product that can be used with a PC or a Macintosh. It works directly with Apple`s iMovie software, Final Cut Pro software and most other leading DV video editing solutions.
Says Voula Philipiddes, MD of Alien Technologies, "The inclusion of Mac certainly makes this product the solution for a wider range of users and in particular means that DV is more accessible to the advertising and communications sectors. Even though the product is not in the country yet, we have had numerous inquiries as to its application and availability."
As well as the flexibility to capture video from either an analog source (VCR, TV, analog camcorder) or a DV source (DV camcorder), the Hollywood DV-Bridge also has analog and DV outputs giving users the choice of outputting in either format. In addition to this, edited video can be recorded back to video tape, webcast from the Dazzle Webcast Theater, sent in the form of video emails and added to websites and presentations. There is also the option of making video CD-Roms of the edited footage. The Hollywood DV-Bridge is a comprehensive solution for the video editing and publishing requirements of professional, semi-professional and home users.
The product is expected in the country in the next fortnight, and will be distributed by Alien Technologies. They are a division of Edutain Distribution, and offer a wide range of affordable and innovative new media products of the highest international calibre and quality in terms of graphics and multimedia presentation to the reseller channel.
