DVT launches Radical 6 with 25% discount, free cross-grade

Johannesburg, 30 Jun 2009

DVT, the software development specialist in the JSE AltX-listed DTH group, is to launch Version 6 of its Radical highly configurable helpdesk solution on 16 July. In line with the spirit of its new version, DVT has lined up a number of special offers.

"We are proud to have released our Version 6,” says Stephen Groenewald, business unit manager at DVT. "In line with the tradition of giving on reaching a milestone in a business, we are offering our existing and prospective customers a 25% discount on any Version 6 licences bought before 31 August.

"In addition, we have a special promotion on offer to any customer using competitive offerings, DVT will give them a 10-user enterprise licence to the value of R120 000, absolutely free, should they cross-grade to Radical.

"We know there are many companies running competitive offerings," says Groenewald. "We also know that some of them are not happy with the cost-effectiveness or functionality of their current platform. So we are offering any company, which is already running a helpdesk, service desk or incident management solution, this free cross-grade.

"While all service costs and annual maintenance costs apply," adds Groenewald, "the licence fee costs for additional users will be discounted by at least 25% too."

Radical Version 6 offers many new features and benefits:

* Tailor-made full workflow/business process management module
* Microsoft Outlook integration
* Integrated graphing
* E-mail calendar invites from the Radical Business Rules Processor
* New incoming e-mail processor
* New Office 2007 'look and feel' menu
* Rules-based table colour coding for easy reading
* Ability to view embedded related records within another table
* New search features
* Callouts for incorrect user entry (mandatory fields, numeric, time fields)

"Our launch event is targeted at all levels within client organisations, so all are welcome to attend," concludes Groenewald.

* DVT will be launching Radical Version 6 at Microsoft's offices in Bryanston, on 16 July. The event begins at 8.30am for 9am. RVSP RadicalEvents@jhb.dvt.co.za, including any special dietary requirements.
