E-billing saves 80 hours

The average metro household is saving up to 80 hours a year with their stepped up usage of electronically paying bills, says Live Mint.com.

According to a study on "e-billing - a better option for convenience" carried out by Assocham, the e-billing business is growing by 200%.

Internet users will increasingly adopt online bill payment for factors such as convenience, control, trust, privacy, and improved record-keeping; another plus factor is that they can depend on customer service for recourse.

Oracle ups e-billing

Oracle has upgraded its e-billing product that can be implemented independently of pre-existing systems, states CBR Online.

Improved and new capabilities of Self-Service e-Billing Version 6.0 include integrated business-to-business online bill payment and presentment processing, split-billing, integrated ETL processing, and an updated user interface.

The company said it also offers improvements, single sign-on integration, usability, consolidated billing, and flexible hierarchy.

Mailworkz makes top five

Halifax-based Mailworkz is among the top five e-mail marketing firms in North America, according to Internet marketing research company, Topseos, according to Press Release 365.

Mailworkz, which specialises in e-marketing solutions, has received positive industry attention and experienced unprecedented growth since January 2007 when it launched Zebratracks, a self-service e-mail marketing suite.

Topseos ranks e-mail marketing firms on several criteria, including competitive advantage, superior services and pricing, customer and technical support, response to client problems, innovations that set it apart from the competition, overall efficiency and overall performance.
