E-business enabler Leapfroggs into market

Johannesburg, 14 Nov 2000

Leapfrogg, a new e-business enabler offering solutions for traditional brick-and-mortar businesses, has been launched.

The company claims to offer a clear value proposition that is directly related to the achievement and measurement of real financial benefit to a client`s business. This would be realised by way of true IT-to-business value expectation alignment, best practice IT and process , increased process and response efficiencies and bottom line impact of value-added e-business initiatives.

Leapfrogg is the brainchild of three key industry players who identified the need for a convergence integrator that could equip organisations with solutions to counter or embrace the changing rules and constant challenges in the New Economy.

"Today, equipping an organisation to survive and prosper requires an approach that goes far beyond providing technology in isolation of the broader picture," says Julie Roberts, marketing director of Leapfrogg.

"In the face of encroaching competitors at a global level, the ultimate challenge lies in addressing softer issues such as upholding the value of a company^1s brand, retaining skilled staff, maintaining their loyalty and keeping them motivated. It is these issues that are so often neglected in the transformation and integration of a business, and yet it is central to the success of the process."

"These issues," says Alex Stamp, MD of Leapfrogg, "need to be delivered within the framework of an effective and scaleable program management methodology. This is a core competence of Leapfrogg and forms the foundation of our willingness, given end-to-end ownership, to warrant certain qualified aspects of delivery performance and benefits realisation."

Strategic partners, such as IBM, Microsoft, MB Worksoft, BMI-TechKnowledge, Business Fusion, Connemara Consulting, Paton Tupper and Baird`s Communications, provide additional skills and resources to close the circle.

"Leapfrogg is neither an IT company nor a large business consultancy," concludes Stamp, "but an e-business transformation and integration company that offers holistic end-to-end solutions to brick-and-mortar companies requiring a 'clicks` component.

"Our particular translation of this process is the convergence of business knowledge, intellectual capital and creativity - forming a culture where visual designs, fresh thinking and different approaches thrive, coupled with real-world fulfilment capabilities, resulting in fully integrated, user accepted solutions."
