The E-mail Corporation has successfully integrated its FinMail software with Standard Bank's AutoPay process.
This means that recipients of The E-mail Corporation's e-billing processes will now be able to pay their accounts using the Standard Bank AutoPay process.
"This is a step closer to true electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP)," says Mike Wright, CEO of The E-mail Corporation. "We send out over 1 million bills a month that can now be AutoPay-enabled."
AutoPay provides an easy and instant electronic invoice payment option to customers, without the burden of complicated technical requirements.
The customer registers either on the e-PAY Web site or on the biller's Web site in order to receive their invoice via an encrypted e-mail.
On receipt of an e-mail invoice, the customer enters his username and password to open the encrypted attachment. Should he choose to pay the invoice immediately, he need only click on the AutoPay button at the end of the invoice. This will immediately take him to Standard Bank's AutoPay site. There, he will enter his banking username and password to gain access to the site.
"The main advantage of this system is that it is a three-click process," says Wright. "All the necessary information for the beneficiary and references are automatic. The customer need only click 'submit' to make the payment."
Other advantages include: convenience for customers, a reduction in debtor's days as a result of payment being made on receipt of invoice, as well as the guaranteed security of invoice delivery and payment thereof.
"The Emailco implementation of the AutoPay solution is a further significant step in the growth of EBPP in this country," says Herman Singh, director of online services at Standard Bank. "Emailco is a significant service provider to Standard Bank and we are looking forward to growing this relationship."
