FinMail, a product suite of The E-mail Corporation, earned the company a Gold Award at this year's Assegai Awards, in the Electronic Commerce category.
"We are ecstatic that our services have been recognised," says Mike Wright, CEO of The E-mail Corporation. "We have had excellent customers and great responses."
FinMail, a complete solution for the delivery of electronic invoices, statements, payslips and brokers notes, lends itself to the successful execution of any Electronic Bill Presentation and Payment (EBPP) strategy.
"The financial services sector has begun looking at secure e-mail delivery applications to raise the levels of customer service," says Wright. "The aim is to send confidential and highly sensitive information such as bank statements, invoices and payslips, in a format that ensures that only the desired recipient is able to open and read that information."
FinMail uses industrial strength encryption to send confidential and highly sensitive information transfers without the use of cumbersome and complicated Digital Certificates. The one-click self-installation system seamlessly integrates into the existing Exchange architecture without disrupting current desktops, network devices, directories, or application servers. And with absolutely no requirement for costly key or certificate management, this new application service makes secure messaging easy to deploy, use and administer as there are no additional IT infrastructure changes required.
A contributing factor to winning the Gold Assegai Award is not only the high level of security that is used to secure transmission, but also the integration with the underlying mailing and reporting functionality. This is in addition to the management reporting facility and end-user simplicity and acceptance.
"An immediate advantage of offering your customers the option of having their statements and invoices e-mailed to them using FinMail," says Wright, "is that the information is consolidated for Web presentation and payment. This is the process whereby the detailed billing data is also displayed on the Web within a chosen, online environment."
The FinMail solution incorporates both the push (e-mail) and pull (Web presentation) of EBPP. The consumer will receive the electronic version of the bill via e-mail, and then process payment through an online environment. This makes the process more fluid and convenient for customers.
"With The E-mail Corporation's experience in sending over 4 million e-mails each month, and our reputation of excellence and reliability, we are ideally positioned to aggressively pursue and implement an e-billing infrastructure in SA. Our database and Web site technology is perfect for an online billing environment," says Wright.
