E-marketing offers SMEs value

Small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) need to 'embrace' e-marketing and consider it as a long-term investment, an online publisher has claimed, states BCS.

According to Econsultancy, many smaller firms have turned to online marketing as they are looking for better value for money and a marketing service where success can be accurately monitored.

Online marketing needs to be part of a wider and joined up with other marketing efforts, the organisation explained.

SAP recruits through LinkedIn

SAP has entered into a marketing agreement with business site, LinkedIn, with the aim to recruit consultants by SAP's channel around the globe, according to ComputerWeekly.

SAP channel partners can now use a LinkedIn product called LinkedIn Recruiter Basic Starter package, which includes LinkedIn Recruiter - the business networking site's online recruiting solution that searches the network for the best candidates based on individually definable criteria.

According to the company, the product has been specifically designed for SME channel partners with up to 1 000 employees.

PLDT assists SMEs with IT

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) has introduced its Negosyo Boost in Cebu City to help increase the productivity of SMEs through the use of information technology, says Manila Bulletin.

Negosyo Boost is part of the PLDT SME-Nation programme, strategically marketed for SMEs featuring IT solutions for development activities using hi-tech telecommunication and up-to-date connectivity services.

It offers business packages intended for those either starting or expanding their business.
