E-marketing saves Hippodrome
Slightly more than two years after a community-wide drive to keep the Waco Hippodrome Theatre alive, the performing arts venue has broken its season ticket record, according to Wacotrib.com.
Waco Performing Arts Company executive director Scott Baker said the theatre sold season ticket number 582 last week, topping the facility`s nine-year record of 580.
Experiments such as online ticketing and marketing, and electronic newsletters broadened the Hippodrome`s customer base.
E-billing reaches clients
Avolent and First Consulting Group have established a partnership to deliver e-billing and settlement for healthcare payers, according to eMedia Wire.
The partnership creates a software as a service offering that automates the customer connection between the payer and the insured by creating a paperless billing, settlement, and payment relationship.
"Customer demand for e-billing and settlement is increasing significantly," said Scot McConkey, president and GM of FCG`s Health Plan Business Unit.
marketing needs testing
The best thing e-marketers can do is to fearlessly test and experiment, ideally with management`s support, according to BtoB Online.
This insight came from the panellists at BtoB`s NetMarketing breakfast, last week.
"At Armstrong [World Industries], the e-marketing function is highly valued, right up to the C-level executives," said Mike Saad, the company`s global e-marketing manager. "They believe in the spirit of trying, and failing and learning from it."
