E-marketing Web site now in English

The Electronic Union of Travel Industry's Web site has been launched in English and is predicted to be in 12 different languages by the end of 2010, says Travel Wires.

Such a site is considered the first reference for all concerned with the e-tourism and e-marketing industry all over the world.

The union also aims to be the first to work towards organising e-tourism in the world. Egypt has been chosen to be the main administrative headquarters worldwide, with a branch office in Spain.

Retailers ignore e-marketing best practice

Some of the UK's largest online and offline retailers are neglecting key areas of the e-mail marketing process and failing to comply with best practice guidelines, according to a new retail benchmark study from dotMailer, says U Talk Marketing.

Almost half of the retailers (46%) failed to comply with basic legal requirements, according to the study, which evaluates 46 retailers' e-mail campaigns against 20 criteria, awarding each e-mail campaign an e-mail effectiveness rating out of 100.

Topshop heads the index of UK retailers with a score of 86.5 but is one of only eight to score over 80%. STA Travel, ASDA and M&S were close behind with 85.5, 84.5 and 83.5 respectively.

E-billing targets medical providers

Designed for workers' compensation medical provider marketplace, P2P Direct Internet-based electronic bill processing system offers essential connectivity between workers' compensation payers and medical providers, says ThomasNet.

Providers can enter bills through P2P Link Web site and upload necessary attachments to ensure secure processing of workers' compensation bills.

Bills are then validated within P2P Link transaction processing hub and electronically transmitted to payers.
