Clients of Octagon Holdings subsidiary E-Properties will be able to advertise, buy and sell property through a direct link to the Sunday Times Property supplement. To be launched on 6 April, the supplement will feature properties arranged by location and price at extremely competitive rates for estate agents.
Greg Brill, managing director at Octagon Holdings, says the Sunday Times partnership brings even more added value to E-Properties` clients.
"Currently, any estate agent linked to our system can access all the information they need to buy and sell properties," he says. "The E-Properties system offers access to property information, title deeds, buyer credit histories, street addresses and more. Now with the link to the Sunday Times Property section, our clients have even greater flexibility in doing business."
Andrew Gill, GM for business development at Johnnic, owner of the Sunday Times, says the property market is changing and the Sunday Times is well positioned for the change.
"The Sunday Times Property supplement will be the place for agents to advertise," he says. "Thanks to our partnerships with E-Properties and CompuSpace, all agents have to do to get an advert to appear in the new section is to tick a box on their own systems. This is also the first time that the Web and print have been fully integrated, allowing customers to go online to view information on property that appears in the newspaper."
Brill is confident the new supplement with revolutionise the South African property market.
Sunday Times Property, which will appear in the Lifestyle section, will have two sections: a listing section ordered by price and suburb where readers can easily see what is available; and a photo section with more detailed sales information. The print and Web versions will be referenced with a unique number, allowing customers to browse the Web site for more information.
The E-Properties system, available to registered South African estate agents, offers deeds, valuations, bank codes, credit reports, cheque verification and applications for bonds and insurance online, as well as advanced search functions by category.
