Banking services through the eBucks.com site have been sporadic and slow since the weekend, making online transactions nearly impossible and the technical help desk difficult to access.
Notices posted on the eBucks home page warn the site is slower than normal because of technical difficulties. The notices suggest clients try ATMs instead.
"During routine maintenance at the weekend, some errors were encountered that have affected the performance of the site," says Alannah Lavelle of the marketing department. She says technicians are working around the clock to solve the problem, but it is impossible to say when normal service levels will be restored.
"It`s unfortunate the site is still very slow with the approach of the month-end," says Lavelle, "but all transactions can still be done through the help desk."
She called on clients to be patient until the problems are solved.
