EC-Hold, sole representative in South Africa for the Correlate range of enterprise knowledge management solutions, has released details of Version 3.0, Correlate`s latest XML-based "virtual" document management system for Lotus`Domino.doc.
According to EC-Hold CEO Amir Lubashevsky, the new version allows for a more personalised and fluid environment within which to work, as it allows the sharing and organising of non-Lotus documents within the Lotus environment. "Lotus` focus is on providing a platform for the sharing of knowledge and assets among communities or in a personalised environment. Correlate provides the freedom to access and manage those environments from the Web, as well as build business solutions accessing information irrespective of the application within which it resides."
Correlate`s XML-based open environment enables workers to rapidly develop business solutions such as project management, RFP/RFIs templates, marketing plans, IT processes, research, and policies and procedures.
Correlate is a completely integrated product within Domino.Doc which means that the Correlate K-Map, which may hold multiple documents, supports all key document management features including check-in/check-out, versioning and audit trails.
"EC-Hold has a 20% stake in Correlate, chiefly because we aim to provide open document management and knowledge sharing environments for companies," says Lubashevsky. "Correlate is a system that achieves this aim in an easy-to-use environment."
