EDS has announced three new business agreements with French firms. Highlights of the announcements, terms of which were not disclosed, include:
* PMU, the French state-controlled horse racing betting agency, selected EDS to operate its betting network throughout metropolitan France. EDS will provide exclusive on-site maintenance of the approximate 13 000 betting terminals owned by PMU in 8 000 points of sale.
* Banque Martin Maurel (BMM), one of the most important independent local banks in the south of France, announced it had selected EDS to implement a comprehensive customer relationship ,anagement (CRM) system. EDS Answare SA, an EDS subsidiary, was selected based on its overall value, technical solution and its regional presence, bank sources said. EDS` CRM solution will enhance and preserve the highly customised customer relations the bank has maintained for more than 100 years.
* EDS and Wanadoo, France Telecom`s Internet division and one of Europe`s leading media services providers, announced a new six-year contract for EDS to supply customer relationship management (CRM) contact centre outsourcing services to its Spanish subsidiary. EDS` seamless delivery of contact centre capabilities enables Wanadoo Spain to support its growth in high speed Internet access via cable and ADSL. The relationship also will improve customer service by increasing the efficiency and quality of contact handling, which includes multiple customer support channels consisting of phone, fax, e-mail and Web.
