EDS Recognized as a Leader in Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing

EDS today announced it has been named a leader in Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing by independent analyst firm Forrester Research.

EDS was among the select companies invited by Forrester to participate in its June 14, 2007 The Forrester Wave Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q2 2007 (June 2007) report. In this evaluation, EDS was cited as a leader in global IT infrastructure outsourcing and received top scores on its global delivery model, client value proposition and vision, and service quality by clients.

The Forrester Wave Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q2 2007 report stated:

"As befitting its long history of success in the infrastructure outsourcing business, EDS topped the field in the current offering scoring category, and the firm tied [one other vendor] for having the broadest market footprint. Methods for delivery and implementation have been forged and refined in the crucible of some of the most complex real-world outsourcing deals, and reference client scores rewarded this EDS capability."

Forrester also cited EDS as a good fit for infrastructure service clients who demand massive global scale and value delivery maturity and operational control. The report stated EDS is a "go to choice for enterprise outsourcing clients," noting the global technology services company "has perhaps the most robust delivery engine that employs both remote management and local support" and "the only firm that wisely targeted compliance issues as a core to its strategy." Additionally, the report stated "EDS has a compelling vision for infrastructure clients" and "reference clients awarded a perfect score for their experience with EDS's implementation capability."
