Capping a week during which it announced approximately US$1 billion in contract signings, EDS announced approximately US$350 million in new business agreements last week.
New contract announcements:
A five-year contract with Telstra worth approximately US$300 million (AUD $500 million) to provide software maintenance and development for its billing functions and shared services.
A long-term contract with Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) to introduce a state-of-the-art computing infrastructure.
EDS Canada announced a multi-million-dollar, three-year agreement today extending its contract to manage Canadian National Railway`s personal computer support and Help Desk services across Canada and in the U.S.
Last month, EDS reported all-time high contract signings for the fourth quarter and full year of 2000. For the quarter, the company won contracts totaling $15.8 billion, up 41 percent from $11.2 billion a year ago, and a record for the eighth consecutive quarter. For 2000, the total value of EDS` contract signings increased 31 percent to $32.6 billion from $24.9 billion in 1999.
