Johannesburg, 12 Apr 2002

Edutain Distribution/Alien Technologies, local distributor of the Snazzi* range of video editing products, is proud to announce the launch and immediate availability of four new products from V One Multimedia. These products will be among the new offerings to be showcased at this year`s Computer Faire.

Says Voula Philippides, MD of Edutain/Alien: "The Snazzi* range of digital video capturing and editing products are the result of many months of extensive R&D by V One Multimedia. These products offer excellent DVD results as well as providing a superb user interface, and we are very pleased to be able to make them available to the South African market."

The Snazzi*1 is a MPEG-1 Encoder & Decoder internal PCI card facilitating easy encoding of MPEG Digital Creations. Bundled software includes Snazzi* Movie Studio, Ulead Video Studio SE5.0, and Nero5.x. This application is ideal for business and home use from the addition of video to PowerPoint presentations to sending videos and snapshots via e-mail.

The Snazzi* III DVD Creator offers complete MPEG-1 & MPEG-2 Encoding, and is also an internal PCI card. DVD is the fastest growing consumer format and Snazzi* III facilitates the creation of professional MPEG-2 video on DVD, which can then be burned, using a CD-R/RW. Some of the software included in the bundle is Snazzi* DVD, MyDVD 3, Ulead and the Snazzi* Movie Mill 1.57 which helps speed up user tasks in the creation of professional DVD.

The Snazzi* III AV.DV is a PCI card which makes DVD, mini/cDVD from both DV & AV sources. This product facilitates conversion from DV to MPEG using the professional Hardware MPEG encoder. The Snazzi* III AV.DV also archives AV and DV Camcorder tapes to real DVD disc in full D1 format.

The Snazzi* 1394 Instant DVD enables the easy capture of videos from digital DV or D8 camcorders in full screen, full motion Digital Video format. These videos can be digitally edited, and music tracks, voice-overs and titles added. They can then be recorded back to the digital camcorder to make DV tape. The 1394 Instant DVD supports the IEEE 1394 interface standard - FireWire or i.Link - to connect to digital camcorders.

"MPEG Digital is the Universal Standard for Digital and Audio on computers today," says Philippides, "and is endorsed by all major electronic and entertainment companies including Sony, Philips, Microsoft, Intel, IBM and Time Warner."
