EET Europarts has today acquired a majority stake in the UK based distribution and logistics service provider, EAF Supply Chain, with the purpose of strengthening EET Europarts' service offerings to especially the European service and maintenance companies.
EAF has operated in the UK for over 20 years and today has more than 80 employees spread across its sites in Warrington, Wokingham and Nottingham.
"We are very proud of this investment in EAF Supply Chain, which adds a new range of services to EET Europarts especially targeting the European service and maintenance companies," states Group CEO of EET Group John Thomas.
He continues: "EAF Supply Chain has for many years been working very closely with some of the largest European service and maintenance companies, but also some of the largest computer and printer vendors. EAF Supply Chain has a powerful capability of inventory planning and positioning, enabling its customers to meet tight service level agreements to some of the largest corporations in Europe. This proposition requires a very broad range of products both in central stock, but also forward stock locations spread around in Europe, which ensures that the customer can access critical spare parts and options within two hours. We are not aware of any other players in Europe who can match that kind of service level."
EET Europarts has more than 40 000 annual buying customers through its 31 sales offices in 26 countries throughout EMEA, and is today the largest European distributor of parts for computers and printers. EET Europarts distributes products from the largest brands in the market, including HP, Lexmark, IBM, Epson, Lenovo, Acer, Sony and many more. EAF Supply Chain and EET Europarts have together by far the broadest availability of parts for computer and printers in Europe, and are today stock-keeping more than 45 000 different part numbers in their combined stock locations ready for immediate shipment.
In connection with EET Europarts' investment in EAF Supply Chain, the Managing Director, Rob Hall, states: "We are very excited about this opportunity. By using EET Europarts' Pan-European footprint, we are able to serve our demanding customers throughout Europe, close to our customers and with an increased number of forward stock locations. Being close to your service customers to support the tightest of SLAs (service level agreements) is the key in this market. By joining forces with EET Europarts and their strong financial and administrative infrastructure, we will now introduce some new and innovative services for the sector, including solutions regarding service and maintenance companies' excess stock challenges, etc."
