Electricity prices soar while fax costs drop

Johannesburg, 31 Mar 2010

In contrast to the ever-increasing electricity prices, fax costs continue to fall. Enterprises are fast realising significant cost reductions by using Open Text Fax Server (RightFax), and they can now securely and efficiently deliver business information from virtually any application via fax, e-mail, print devices or over the Internet.

Open Text Fax Server is a global provider of fax server, document delivery and fax software. It delivers the most reliable and robust fax software solutions to integrate and automate the flow of a full range of fax, paper and electronic documents and data.

Now that RightFax v9.4 supports virtualisation with a board or boardless solution, the ability for enterprises to include their fax environment into their overall IT strategy is a straightforward decision.

Galdon Data director Sebastian Wade says Open Text fax software delivers a significant reduction in fax and document delivery costs by eliminating the need for paper-based delivery, standalone fax machines and associated maintenance, supply, equipment and labour costs.

“It significantly reduces the time it takes your employees to exchange documents with customers or suppliers, resulting in faster sales cycles, quicker customer service and improved efficiency. Furthermore, it offers a trusted and reliable fax server and electronic document delivery solution that will help companies comply with regulations and safeguard information security and privacy,” he says.

Fax servers from Open Text integrate with virtually any business system, to offer robust and reliable network fax and document delivery from the applications people use daily to communicate, collaborate and conduct business transactions.

E-mail fax integration unifies network fax and e-mail in a single inbox offering Microsoft e-mail fax integrations, IBM Lotus Notes e-mail fax integrations and SMTP e-mail fax integrations to make it easy to increase productivity and manage communications.

Production fax automates delivery of invoices, purchase orders and other documents from host, legacy, CRM and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle. Open Text's production fax integrations improve security while streamlining business processes and reducing costs.

Network fax software integration with MFPs consolidates document development, duplication and distribution capabilities making a more connected, efficient work environment. Tested and/or certified fax software integrations with MFPs from companies such as Canon, HP, Sharp, and Xerox make the most of MFP and network fax infrastructure investments.

Desktop and broadcast fax capabilities allow users to conveniently fax a single document to an individual or broadcast fax documents to fax groups or a fax distribution list while improving efficiencies and saving time and money.

In addition, add-on connectors and integrations with customer relationship management (CRM), document management, e-mail, enterprise resource planning (ERP), FoIP, multifunction products and a host of other business applications.
