Ello Technology, a South African company focused on providing IT managed services, today announced it will be participating in a local community drive during the period leading up to this year's festive season.
"We have always had an active social responsibility programme, part of which is an involvement with the local community and its various activities," commented Garry Cahay, CEO of Ello Technology, "and this year is no exception. We believe it is important that we do this despite being a comparatively small organisation, after all, every little bit helps, regardless of whether it's a financial contribution and/or the hands-on involvement of our staff in some way."
"This month we will be participating in 'Movember', a cancer awareness charity drive, more details of which can be found on our Web site: www.ello.co.za; and in December, we will welcome Mr and Mrs Mahlaba into their newly purchased home. Last year, we helped Mr and Mrs Mahlaba bring their kids from the Eastern Cape to be reunited with their parents. The current accommodation was inadequate to house the full family, so 'Team Ello' was there to add the extra 'room' to their informal settlement accommodation. This, of course, was a temporary accommodation set-up with the aim of purchasing a home for them this year. We are so thankful that we can have the opportunity to help those that are in need," continued Cahay. "In addition to this, we are monthly sponsors to NSRI, PAWS and the SPCA; supply a monthly SLA to the local NG Church, free of charge, and ensure, wherever possible, that we incorporate our clients into our suppliers list.
"Historically, we have been involved with many different charities, including Meals on Wheels, Angel Tears, Cotlands and several disadvantaged schools. Recently, we helped Vlottenburg Primary with various IT requirements such as desktops, screens and printers," concluded Cahay. "We try to ensure that as many of our people are involved as possible, regardless of the role they play within Ello Technology, and that includes my executive team."
