EMC extends CMS

EMC introduced a content management solution (CMS) to help customers find, retain and protect from several sources.

EMC Documentum Archive Services for e-mail and EMC Documentum Archive Services for reports were created to help customers search and retrieve information for and legal discovery and content re-use, InternetNews.com reports.

Both solutions corral and pinpoint data from e-mail, images, reports, documents, records, videos and even Web sites, says Lubor Ptacek, product director in EMC`s software group.

Common Sense Advisory`s CMS report

Common Sense Advisory has released global content management (GCM) research reports for the globalisation, internationalisation, localisation, and translation industries, according to a press release.

Common Sense Advisory evaluates suppliers` enterprise content management (ECM) features that support the creation, translation and global delivery of enterprise content for GCM.

According to Common Sense lead analyst Donald A DePalma: "We review major CMS suppliers like Documentum, Interwoven and Vignette and outline the strengths and weaknesses of these and 13 other products."
