With the appointment of Charles Isaacs as District Manager for the Western and Eastern Cape, EMC Southern Africa has intensified its sales focus in a determined bid to increase its presence and client base throughout the region.
Formerly General Manager of Business Connexion's Technology Group in the Western Cape, Isaacs has extensive, in-depth experience of the IT market in that region.
“Both Cape provinces are hotspots for the retail, petrochemical, insurance and automotive industries,” he says. “My primary objective is to retain EMC's existing clients and acquire new ones by increasing our presence and creating awareness of our expanded offering.
“On the global front, EMC has been on a steep growth path for more than a decade. I would like to see our Cape operation equalling the development of our international counterparts.”
Isaacs plans to achieve these objectives with a team of 35 people, which include sales representatives, account managers, pre-sales support staff and services professionals.
Isaacs' career track record includes 10 years with Sanlam, where he started as a mainframe system programmer, as well as 16 years with Persetel, which subsequently formed part of the Business Connexion Group. Isaacs holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, as well as two postgraduate diplomas.
