Emerging Markets Payments (EMP), the leading payments processing company in Africa and the Middle East, is pleased to announce the launch of its Mobile Wallet solution.
EMP Mobile Wallet is the latest addition to the EMP product range. EMP Mobile Wallet allows banks to offer their customers' access to banking services and make payments through an app on their mobile phone, as well a range of features unique to EMP's product.
"Interoperability was always the challenge facing any mobile wallet in the market. We have opened up the wallet to be interoperable with any payment scheme", said Murat Ozulku, CEO of EMP Africa. "Any bank customer can easily link their payment cards to the wallet, transfer money from the mobile wallet to the card and use it for payments anywhere".
EMP Mobile Wallet incorporates EMPay, which enables customers to create virtual single-use cards on their Mobile Wallet for use on the Internet or for other 'card not present' transactions.

The EMP Mobile Wallet provides banks' customers with a fully integrated interface connecting their accounts and cards in one wallet. The app gives banks' customers the ability to remotely administer their card accounts, send or receive local and international payments, transfer money via their mobile phone to another Mobile Wallet user at the same bank and pay utility bills.
Banks can also offer EMP Mobile Wallet to merchants and will allow consumers using the software to pay for purchases in store with their mobile phone. Using either manual key entry, near field communication or a merchant-generated QR code to identify a purchase, banks' customers will no longer be required to make payments with cash or card.
