As part of a drive to extend its market presence in sub-Saharan Africa, business development company EmSoft aims to enter into new alliances with selected value-added resellers (VARs).

"We are currently evaluating ways that will help us realise our potential for growth, while simultaneously ensuring maximum value for the VAR," explains group MD Gilbert Parsons.

"Owing to our varied and sound understanding of African business, we enjoy a strong market presence in countries such as Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, and are now seeking to establish a market base in Mozambique and Angola."

EmSoft focuses on the creation of customised business solutions applications using rapid design tools and methodologies. The company has an established product and base, including a variety of applications across all sectors of the market.

Modules include FourGen Human Resources, FourGen Business and Financial Systems - an I-4GL product that affords high-volume transaction-based companies an entry into relational databases, particularly warehousing and decision support systems. The company also offers Endura Enterprise Distribution and Financial Management Software for supply chain management.

"Our partners must be established business industry experts with high-level business analytical skills, and committed to high-level customer service. We are eager to enter into ongoing, mutually beneficial relationships of this nature," says Parsons.
