
Emulex revamps channel strategy

According to BusinessWire, Emulex's revamped Connect Partner Programme will offer online technical and sales training certifications, faster claims and higher profit margins.
Shaun Walsh, VP of marketing at Emulex, says: “The community element of the new Emulex Connect Partner Programme is something that will help us as an industry, as we continue the path towards network convergence, in engaging in dialogue about customer needs and best practices”.
The company will also embrace social media technologies to communicate with its partners, adds eChannel Line.
This will include the roll-out of a community called IOblender, to provide a forum to learn about converged networking.
In addition, MyEmulex.com Partner Portal will deliver partner-specific sales cycle incentives, training, demo and proof of concept equipment, and industry solutions.
