On 12 April 2005, the NATO CIS Services Agency (NCSA) celebrated a major milestone in the ongoing Service Level Management initiative with the official signing of the first finalized Service Level Agreement (SLA). The SLA, between NCSA and the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum heralds the culmination of the challenging and complex endeavour to establish Service Level Management, which is one of the cornerstones of the customer-provider model and a fundamental premise of NCSA.
EMW has played a lead role in NATO`s effort, via its Business Process Engineering (BPE) contract, by supplying key personnel and expertise.
The Brunssum SLA was signed by NCSA Director, Lt Gen Ulrich Wolf and JFC Commander, General Gerhard Back during a ceremony at the JFC HQ in front of numerous Flag Officers. It is intended that SLAs with the remaining nine Command Headquarters will be finalized and signed during 2005.
General Wolf stated that the institution of SLAs and Service Level Management is designed to produce enhanced Quality of Service, improved customer support and more cost-effective provisioning of Communication and Information Services (CIS).
