End-to-end information management solutions expertise from AST

In order to strengthen its foothold and consolidate its offerings in the collaborative technology areas of workflow, document management, knowledge management and content management, the AST Group has formed a business unit that is focused on becoming the leading provider of information management solutions utilising technologies such as electronic archiving, document management and workflow solutions in southern Africa.

The new AST Collaborative Solutions was formed by merging the previous AST Collaborative Solutions and AST Workflow & EDMS solutions. The new business unit will provide clients with the best solution for their environment on a national and international basis, with a complete end-to-end information management solution based on technology from vendors such as IBM, Hummingbird, Oculus, Lotus and Teleform.

"Being able to manage and work with all the information that is available 'behind` the enterprise portal requires the right blend of experience and technology and that is exactly what we offer to the market," says Hedley Hurwitz, Executive Director Solutions and Technology of AST Collaborative Solutions. The new company will also continue to be one of the largest providers of e-learning solutions and consulting services in the country, an area that is very complementary to the information management solutions.
