E2E Business Solutions, an information technology company specialising in end-to-end systems, has opened doors in Cape Town to assist small and medium businesses leverage today`s powerful business and financial applications.

The company will be managed by ex-Softline director, David Lees, and ex-Marcows Cellars director, Garth Kahn. Lees has in-depth knowledge of all major financial systems and relationship management principles as well as experience at all levels of value-added services including implementation, and on-site and telephonic support. Kahn`s experience is in and financial management as well as Oracle development.

Specialising in the powerful Goldmine Customer Relationship Management software as well as SME accounting packages such as Pastel, Brilliant and Quickbooks, E2E`s primary focus will be on consultation and implementation to assure clients of practical and robust systems which add value to their core businesses.

It aims to enhance its customers` business activities by providing solutions that streamline the flow of information and enable customers to make effective use of that information, with:

  • Customer relationship management applications

  • Ensuring the efficient usage of financial systems and how these systems should relate to a company`s CRM strategy

  • The requirement for e-commerce within SME companies and how to go about implementing an e-commerce solution

Lees pointed out that, with 20 years` combined experience as an SME and working side-by-side with SME customers, accountants, computer dealers and value-added resellers, E2E Business Solutions not only has developed solid relationships with key IT suppliers but built considerable expertise in the workings of SME type businesses.

"We simply want to put this expertise to work for the SME market in Cape Town," he said. "Small and medium businesses have historically under utilised IT solutions because they simply have not realised the extent to which they can get intelligent usable information from affordable technology based solutions.

"Furthermore, increased global competition between businesses and business communities is placing greater importance on the necessity to effectively and seamlessly manage customer relationships. Business people must provide enhanced customer service to ensure that they not only retain existing customers, but attract new ones.

"Sophisticated and affordable technology means that the era of 'big beats small` has been succeeded by 'fast beats slow` - the size of a corporation is no longer a decisive factor in determining the ability to provide excellent products and services.

"The playing field has changed dramatically and IT is an essential tool for building businesses on any size and ensuring their survival in today`s rapidly changing and highly competitive environment," he stressed.

A prime example of where SMEs can utilise technology to grow is the area of increased revenue generation. Here, customer relationship management (CRM) software tools are a key component for prompting existing customers to boost their purchases.

This is in direct contrast to a corporation relying solely on its financial data to improve results - a process that usually means managing costs and administrative functions such as debt collection as opposed to enhancing revenue and growing the client base.

"Goldmine Software, the developer of leading customer relationship management tools in the US, recently launched Goldmine 5 for the SME market," said Lees. "Utilising this software through its relationship with IXchange, the owners of Goldmine Corporation, E2E will be able to consult to, customise, install and train a small business to add considerable value to its turnover and profitability for a minimal investment.

"The E2E solution offers an affordable competitive edge for a whole range of SMEs from estate agents to financial and legal professional advisors to public relations companies," he concluded.
