CRL, the Johannesburg-based computing and networking solutions specialist, has been appointed a channel partner in terms of the recently announced Partner Programme being run by Enterasys Networks SA and its alliance partner in SA, Duxbury Networking.
The programme is aimed at high value-add resellers and systems integrators and is designed to strengthen Enterasys` VAR and Systems Integrator channel.
In terms of the programme CRL will be able to take advantage of focused marketing, sales and technical support as well as a structured education and accreditation programme.
"CRL was selected because it is equipped with the necessary technical, engineering and support expertise to ensure successful enterprise networking," says Martin May, Enterasys Networks SA regional director.
"The company has a number of key clients in its portfolio, such as the Reserve Bank of Lesotho, and has several other major orders in the pipeline."
CRL, which employs more than 70 people, is a 14-year-old company made up of a number of divisions including engineering and support, IBM AS 400 and IBM 6000-based solutions, networking and Intel-based IBM and Compaq server implementations.
Commenting on the new business relationship, Bob Spurr, CRL`s marketing manager, says, "Following its recent restructure, Enterasys has emerged as a more focused company with a strong infrastructure and a clear vision of its position in the corporate networking space," he says.
