Enterprise Connection won two of Microsoft's most prestigious awards during the recent annual Microsoft Partner Summit at Sun City.
The company won in two categories, namely the "Licensing Solutions Competency Award" for partners with outstanding expertise in design and implementation of licensing and software asset management solutions, and the "Winning Customer Award", which recognises a partner's successful implementation of a bespoke solution on the Microsoft platform that wins a customer in a competitive situation.
Not only did Enterprise Connection grow revenue for Microsoft by 214% in the government space, but also by 257% at enterprise level and by 110% in small and medium businesses.
"The major reason for this success is that we deliver the promise by formalising expectations with our clients in the form of service level agreements," says Clark Coetzee, executive manager of Enterprise Connection's software division. "We ensure we deliver against those expectations. We don't have clients who ask what value volume licensing resellers add to their business.
"Winning these two awards shows that Enterprise Connection has top-notch capabilities across our licensing business focus; both our technical and our client management teams are the best in SA. The Licensing Award shows our ability to deliver software solutions professionally and economically, with an eye for detail to ensure there are no hiccups or headaches for the customer, and the Winning Customer Award is for our technical excellence and innovation. We are very proud of what we have achieved over the past year," said Coetzee.
When it came to the competencies on which Enterprise Connection was evaluated, licence delivery was one area that was rated highly. Enterprise Connection excelled here due to its proven expertise in meeting customers' needs in the design, recommendation and acquisition of licence options for Microsoft technology. In addition, its software asset management expertise, which combines licensing skills with strong diplomatic abilities to help customers understand and address compliance issues, and to help customers realise and experience the ongoing benefits and efficiencies of software asset management, also proved to be a winning element for Enterprise Connection.
Apart from the kudos for receiving the awards, Enterprise Connection will also benefit directly in other ways - one being from increased referral business from Microsoft. In addition, it gives the company a huge amount of credibility when talking to customers and new prospects.
"Both new and existing clients can be assured of peace of mind when it comes to their licensing requirements as they are working with the best LAR in South Africa," comments Faiza Brown, Microsoft Licensing Specialist at Enterprise Connection.
"In addition to our awards, Enterprise Connection's LicenseRight model differentiates us from other players in the licensing space. We have developed a method of managing and optimising licence structures to help our clients get the most value from the software they have bought, ensure that all software being used is correctly licensed now, and will continue to be so in a few years when active business systems have changed," concludes Brown.
