EnTourage signs distribution deal

EnTourage Systems, announced the enTourage Edge's availablity for distribution through New Age Electronics, a division of Synnex, says KansasCity.com.

The entourage Edge is a multimedia tablet with the added functionalities of a netbook, e-reader, notepad and audio and video recorder, and player. It's a dual-screen device with hinged e-Ink and LCD screens that the company says provides an innovative platform for users to interact and enrich content with greater capacity.

New Age Electronics will make the product available to its retailers and e-tailors throughout the US, offering the product in its full line of colours.

Seagate expands GoFlex family

Seagate recently introduced the next evolution of the company's FreeAgent external hard drive, its new GoFlex storage solutions, reports Picture Business Mag

The FreeAgent GoFlex storage family is said to include easy, plug-and-play portable and desktop drives opens in a new window, with an array of interchangeable cables and desktop adapters that allow each drive to adapt to the interface or device being used.

“GoFlex interface cables are about providing the speed, performance and connectivity people need to support their interaction with their content,” says Dave Mosley, executiveVP of, sales, marketing and line management at Seagate.

Kodak, PPBG continue strategic partnership

The Production Printing Business Group (PPBG) of Ricoh is continuing its strategic partnership with Kodak's Print On-Demand Solutions Group, states Advertiser Talk

The implementation of the new C-81 colour controller, powered by Creo colour server technology, with the RICOH Pro C901/C901s graphic arts edition is the upgrade on this partnership. It will offer colour controller C-81, which will provide open connectivity to digital workflows, putting the power of an existing Kodak 'prinergy' digital workflow system within Ricoh products.

“Kodak's print on-demand solutions group has over 30 years of leadership experience in graphic arts,” states Carl Joachim, VP of marketing for PPBG. “The continued partnership between the companies will underscore both companies ability to deliver full colour and imaging needs to customers while continuing to optimise workflow solutions to a multitude of digital production printers and presses.”
