In line with its stated goal of becoming a R2 billion organisation by 2010, EOH has boosted its resourcing for and focus on Axia, its Microsoft business unit.
Meaning value in Greek, Axia is actively marketing Microsoft solutions built with classic Microsoft offerings, including business intelligence, security, collaboration, mobility and infrastructure and Microsoft business solutions supported by Microsoft licensing services.
Keith Fairhurst, spearheading the Microsoft initiative, conducted research into the seven top global brands which will have the greatest impact on the future of technology and business in the next decade, and said Microsoft was a front runner that would assist EOH to meet its growth target.
Fairhurst says the partnership with Microsoft is ideal as EOH also believes in the power of people to support a technology-driven business: "We believe that systems make it possible, while people make it happen. This marries extremely well with Microsoft's people-ready messaging, which centres on the vital role people play in business."
Supporting its drive, EOH has appointed Glenda Miles as the Microsoft alliance manager for Axia. This dedicated role will ensure that Axia is completely focused on building a successful relationship with Microsoft: "We see great potential in working together as a unified front, offering a myriad of Microsoft-based solutions," says Miles.
Asher Bohbot, CEO of EOH, is excited about the group's latest move: "Growth within our existing business units is extremely positive for us. Combined with our strength as a major business and technology solutions provider in Africa, Axia's new business plan bodes well for our future growth."
Supporting EOH's drive is MD of Microsoft SA, Pfungwa Serima: "Microsoft's success is built on our close relationship with our partners and by working with them to ensure that we are meeting the unique needs of our customers. The collaboration with EOH and Axia enables us to continue helping local businesses maximise technology to reach their full business potential."
EOH is already a Microsoft gold certified partner and if the team has anything to do with it, they will certainly bring new meaning to gold status in the near future.
