EOH Network Solutions, a licensed telecommunications service provider, and a division of EOH Holdings, confirmed today it is in the final stages of extending its Metro Ethernet Fibre ring to include JSE-related services. The inclusion of the JSE will allow EOH NS to deliver access to the JSE as an On-Net service for its telecommunications clients in South Africa and globally.
Stuart Hardy, Business Unit Head of EOH's Telecommunications Network Strategy, feels this is another important step for the company in making strategic points in the telecoms industry available to its clients directly.
"As a telecommunications provider to large SA organisations, we felt it was necessary to have an ongoing strategy to incorporate important industry services and technologies into our network design. The JSE is the latest service that we are making live this week, and will be accessible to any client connecting to our network as a part of their current service cost, or with a competitive additional port fee," says Hardy.
One of the goals of EOH in delivering JSE-related services to end-users is to improve on the latency and response times generally associated with these services. In preliminary testing, EOH believes it will improve on the ever important latency required to access these services timeously.
"EOH NS has developed one of the only true NGN Networks in South Africa from the ground up, and that is becoming evident in our comparative latency and network response times. While we are yet to confirm and publish our testing results, we feel that our latency to JSE-related services will be up to 300% faster than other networks when measuring latency," ends Hardy.
EOH provides similar On-Net capability to services such as EOH Cloud, Mimecast, Continuity SA, Voice and even Microsoft 365. These services are available as part of your telecoms services contract and are delivered as an On-Net service.
