IT solutions provider EOH has been nominated as a finalist in the prestigious annual Metropolitan Oliver Empowerment Awards, celebrating a decade of distinction in South Africa's premier broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) awards initiative.
EOH has demonstrated consistent growth and development over the past three years and has managed to sustain its BEE growth by building on existing successes to further future B-BBEE plans.
Award nominees had to demonstrate strategic implementation results by reporting on transformation policies, skills development, socioeconomic development and enterprise development plans, outlining successes in each of the categories.
“We are exceedingly proud to be among the top six finalists in the running for the B-BBEE Award title alongside companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Absa and First Rand Limited among others. The nomination serves as confirmation that EOH is making positive strides in our efforts to further B-BBEE reach and strategic implementation in the private sector,” says Pumeza Bam, HR Director of EOH.
The awards ceremony, brought to you by Topco Media, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 24 March 2011 in Johannesburg, in association with empowerment publication, Impumelelo, and media partner, Business Report. The event promises to be a lavish affair boasting leaders and icons from business and government, who will gather to acknowledge the efforts made by local companies that embody the full potential of empowerment.
