EOH Softworx, a leading business applications provider, was one of handful of selected IBM business partners to attend a recent TM1 “Black Belt” training course.
In recognising the critical importance of a successful TM1 and integrated Cognos software deployment, IBM hosted the course, providing business partners with the best framework to supply optimum software and services.
Sunet Leimecke, EOH Softworx: Principal Consultant, attended the five-day course, and says: “It was a great privilege to be selected to share in this first Black Belt class and contribute towards the class design and structure when it is launched as an official course by IBM.”
The highlight for Leimecke was meeting the original creator of TM1, Manny Perez, as well as other leading product engineers and industry experts. “My knowledge of the advanced techniques will assist with implementations and further differentiate Softworx's service offering.” In addition, Leimecke says ample networking opportunities have allowed for easier access to a larger pool of IBM experts and business partners. “This expertise is invaluable when providing clients with leading edge technology and services.”
Business partners attending the course learned new performance optimisation techniques and are now better able to understand best practice design for large scale or high participation applications. Key learnings also included new product feature details and advanced development techniques and changes to the TM1 software.
Kevin Simon, Director: Softworx Performance Management, says this conference supports the significant IBM developments that the industry is experiencing. “Softworx now has valuable insight and knowledge that will further enhance our offering to clients. As a key business partner, Softworx values IBM's investment in us and in making Cognos TM1 a competitive product in the market,” concludes Simon.
