Belay, part of the EOH group, is the first company in South Africa to receive the gold Microsoft competency in application lifecycle management (ALM).
“The complexity of creating and customising software is driving demand for service organisations that can deliver effective solutions based on ALM best practices,” says Renesh Buldeo, Executive Director at Belay.
Application lifecycle management is essentially defined as the marriage of business management to software engineering, made possible by tools that facilitate and integrate requirements management, architecture, coding, testing, tracking and release management.
According to Microsoft, the ALM competency requires expertise in the provision of training, consultation and deployment of Microsoft Visual Studio development system software. “Belay has demonstrated a superior level of successful implementations, capabilities and certification,” says Zanele Kanjere, Partner Strategy and Programmes Lead for Microsoft South Africa.
Rob Godlonton, Executive Director of EOH, is excited about the achievements of EOH's Belay. “It will enable EOH to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions to its clients, enhancing EOH's status as one of Microsoft's top partners,” says Godlonton.
EOH's Belay was awarded four gold and one silver Microsoft competencies at the end of March 2011. The competencies were awarded in line with Microsoft's New Partner Network that is aimed at providing customers with a clear outline of a Microsoft partner's skills sets.
Belay Solutions has been confirmed as a Microsoft Partner in the Microsoft Partner Network until 31 March 2012 with the following competencies:
* Gold Data Platform
* Gold Software Development
* Gold Application Lifecycle Management
* Gold Server Platform
* Silver Business Intelligence
Belay boasts a team of Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) that are able to assist customers with a choice of best of breed product solutions. “The certification process ensures that Belay stays abreast of developments and trends, which is an absolute necessity in our fast-paced industry,” Buldeo concludes.
